Artist's Description
Anonymoss
Cooled by the plum blue shadows
The travellers sit struck by the scene
Preying almost on the feast before their sunset eyes
The fire crackles out its stories, its glowing nostalgia
Making tangerine coloured clouds that rise and sit with the stars
They feel anonymous, the pair, feet in the snowfallen grass
Or toes painting small purple circles of childhood in the deep shadows.
Everything is humming the same tune
All that matters, is one with nature; human, animal, plant, sun and moon
There is no ‘them and us’, we chug along together like the carriages of a train pushing daily uphill
Some leading, some following, some hanging on or lagging behind.
And the tree more than anyone watches it all, wears it on its strong limbs
Holds it in its mysterious multivarious habitat of lush and barren finery
The only real house in the landscape of life,
Never turning away a visitor,
Always a roomy inn.
Always a firemaker...
About Jim Taylor
I live in the Central Sierra Nevada foothills of California. I am a self taught Artist. I work in Watercolors with a whimsical light feel. Each painting represents a particular moment in time like a good song. If a...
