Yesterdays gone
the leaves that were once green
roll and tumble in a palette of color
Leaves of orange scarlet gold
the story has already been told
They float by as yesterdays dream
like a memory I have seen
my yesterday is gone
take me with you on a breeze
on a magic carpet ride
The greens of yesterday and the golds of tomorrow
those golden leaves create a magic carpet
turning brown lying on the ground
new mushrooms spring to life
yesterdays gone.
I will not pass that way again
